Doctors confirmed student Laura Gruber died yesterday afternoon at Vanderbilt Medical Center from food poisoning. Gruber was eating a vinaigrette salad at a popular local restaurant and started feeling sick instantly.
Gruber was native of Venezuela and came to Nashville in 2005. Her family is attempting to sue the local restaurant, holding them liable for Gruber's death.
Viewing will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday a the funeral home on Dickerson Street in Nashville. Internment will be tomorrow at Nashville's Local Cemetery.
